FAQ

Common questions

Where does the data come from? +

All data sources are public Australian registers and portals: ASIC Published Notices, the AFSA National Personal Insolvency Index, commercial property listing platforms, and publicly accessible insolvency practitioner pages. No proprietary or non-public data is used.

How quickly are new notices delivered? +

Scrapers run daily at 6:30 AM AEST. Classified and scored digests are sent to paid subscribers by 7:30 AM AEST on business days. ASIC notices are typically published on the business day following lodgement, so you are receiving them within 24 hours of public availability.

What is the urgency scoring based on? +

Each signal receives an urgency score from 1 to 10 based on proximity to an actionable commercial property opportunity and time sensitivity. A mortgagee sale with an auction date within 30 days scores 10. A late-stage creditor voluntary liquidation where assets are likely already distributed scores 3-4. Members' voluntary liquidations (solvent companies) are excluded entirely.

Is this legal and financial advice? +

No. Distress Radar aggregates publicly available information only. Nothing in any digest or report constitutes legal, financial, or investment advice. All information should be independently verified before acting. This is not a financial product or service. Always consult qualified legal and financial advisers before making investment decisions.

What is the difference between a digest subscription and a lead pack? +

A digest subscription delivers daily and weekly intelligence across all active signals. A lead pack is a curated, once-off report of the top 10-15 highest-urgency signals in a specific time period or geography, with deeper detail including practitioner contact information, suggested outreach approach, and timing assessment. Lead packs are available as a separate purchase.

Can I cancel anytime? +

Yes. All subscriptions are month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time through the subscriber portal or via unsubscribe link. No lock-in periods. No cancellation fees.

Which regions are covered? +

Current coverage focuses on South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounds). Expansion to national coverage (NSW, VIC, SA) is planned. Group subscribers receive early access to new geographic coverage as it comes online.
